Updated Hamburger Bun/Breadstick Recipe

A reader alerted me to the fact that the site I linked my favorite quick breadstick recipe to was no longer functioning and therefore she couldn’t make my favorite hamburger buns either.

Well, we can’t have that.

Besides, I’ve since adapted the original recipe significantly to make it much easier to work with, yet still turn out the soft bread we all like. So I’ve updated the post to include the complete recipe using my changes as well as instructions to make breadsticks, hamburger or even hot dog buns.

If you’ve been making these, you might want to check out the changes and see if you’d like to try them. If you haven’t, I think you will want to make them- they are easy and really delicious.

Go to the updated Quick and Tender Breadsticks and Hamburger Buns and let me know what you think!

Oh my gosh, I am so excited that you posted this and have all those pictures because I’m newbie when it comes to using yeast and scared to death of it, lol. I love pictures that help explain things, Thank you so so so much!!

Thank you so much! I went to make them last night for dinner and the site was gone! I was so disappointed! I had to change what we were having for dinner since I didn’t have any buns.

My husband said, “please never buy buns from the store again” Who could ask for a higher commendation? I’m so tired of trying to keep buns in the freezer where they turn into frost-bitten shriveled hockey pucks. These are EASY, I don’t have to make a special trip to the store or alter my menu because they can always be on hand. Plus, I can recognize and pronounce every single healthy ingredient! (did I mention they were delicious?)

  4. Yeah Rebekah! Another score for real food. :-)
