living simply and embracing imperfection
Up for consideration this Sad Saturday is a blast from my past that still makes me laugh:
A sad, sad attempt at sourdough bread.
Or pig snouts.
Or UFO’s.
Or a pair of really rustic discus.
Or…?
You choose. I’m laughing to hard to decide.
(FYI: I did manage to figure out how to make a decent sourdough loaf eventually. I had to just get back on that horse!)
Do you have anything to share?
I believe a cottage can be anywhere or anything (condo, ranch, farmhouse) as long as you have a "cottage mentality" which puts people above things, celebrates imperfections, embraces simplicity, and finds joy in everyday life. Thanks for joining me!

I love it when we can laugh at ourselves when it comes to our not so successful attempts at things. So many times our blogs only show the best of things and I think it can be discouraging when a project goes wrong. I love the idea of sad Saturday where we can have a good chuckle over some of our wonky projects!

Oh, my… I also have a failed attempt at sour dough. That’s great that you did end up with good results. I have yet to try again.

Oh my! I have never made sour dough bread so I lose a point for that but when I saw, your pictures I thought they were some sort of halloween treat that was made to look like pig snouts.
Well you are better than me because sour dough has always intimidated me.
Good laugh, it is a hoot or should I say (ahem) snoot.
At least you didn’t say it was a sad attempt at plastic surgery and those were your removed implants!

Sad Saturday will be monthly for now (the 2nd Saturday of the month)- I’m just assuming there aren’t enough failures to warrant a weekly link-up, but I guess we’ll see.
