What a pleasure to look through last week’s TGP. You guys never cease to amaze me with your resourcefulness and creativity! I guess gardeners are a good lot for that. {smile}
If I only had a woods nearby from which I could harvest saplings to make a rustic cage to protect my blueberries like Nancy from On The Home Front did, I’d do this in a minute. Then I wouldn’t have to deal with the scare tape and rubber snakes!
I have to give kudos to Brooke at Creative Country Mom for keeping her garden looking this beautiful during the extreme heat and drought they’ve been having! Seriously, she’s got lots more pictures of this area and it’s all lovely. I’m loving the color of that bench, too.
I have been finding the best, most unusual jam recipes here this season, and this fresh jam for the freezer from Mellow at A Life Unprocessed is another I’m going to have to try. I couldn’t believe the secret ingredient used to thicken it!
And this daylily in Beth’s garden at Beyond The Garden Gate is pure eye-candy for me. I’ve planted at least six mail-order daylilies that were supposed to be pink and after waiting for 2-3 years for them to bloom, they are all yellow or the dreaded orange. Sigh.
I’ll just have to keep looking at these beauties!
Can’t wait to see what you’ve got for us this week!

I believe a cottage can be anywhere or anything (condo, ranch, farmhouse) as long as you have a "cottage mentality" which puts people above things, celebrates imperfections, embraces simplicity, and finds joy in everyday life. Thanks for joining me!

I finally have a gardening post to hook up!!! Thanks for hosting
Yeah! Look forward to reading it…
Thanks for hosting Jami!
I’m so excited about this post. My gardening guru offered her wisdom and said that I am a successful vegetable gardener if we are eating from the garden. With how bad I am at this in my first year, it’s amazing at how well things are doing. Come take a look!

Thanks for hostessing this garden party. I love the gardens you featured this week, especially the one with the purple bench thriving even in the heat and drought. For some reason my Linky didn’t seem to show up,.
Yael from Home Garden Diggers
Sorry, Yael – did you ever get it to work?
There are always awesome TGP entrants! I feel like I’m getting all this great free gardening advice.
Thank you for allowing me to share here about my recent garlic harvest. I’m enjoying your lovely blog! Greetings from Ontario Canada!
I’ll live vicariously through you – I neglected to plant any garlic last fall!
Not sure if my post linked up but I do
so enjoy your linky party each week…
Thanks for hosting
Sandy
Hope you got it to work, Sandy.
Thanks so much for the feature! Yes, I love the color of the bench too. I had 5 bright colors of paint and used them all this past summer! Aqua, yellow, magenta, purple and lime. Love to add some fun with all my rusty accents! Thanks again for hosting a great weekly! I too love to see what’s blooming!
That sounds fantastic – I need to make a goal to add more color to the garden. I do like how it looks in your lovely place.
Just wanted to let you know that I showcased your link to Food on Friday: Eggs today in a new weekly series “Need Inspiration?” Have a great week.
Thank you, Carole!
