One of the more popular posts here at AOC has been How To Turn a Dresser Into a Vanity.
I had always wanted to take an old dresser and convert it into a vanity and we were finally able to a few years ago as part of our master bathroom remodel.

Since this dresser was found at one of our local thrift stores, I thought it would be appropriate for our Thrift Store Transformation series. And while it was not the cheapest thing I’ve bought while thrifting ($79), transforming it made it a great price for a vanity.
It’s really not a difficult project, though it does require a few tools – mainly a jigsaw to cut out the hole for the top. And in the end you’ve got a unique and functional vanity for a fraction of the cost of similar store-bought versions.
Find all the steps and more details about how to turn a dresser into a vanity here and don’t feel limited to dressers only – buffets, desks, and tables also can be turned into vanities!
Have you ever a piece of furniture into something else?
This is day 16 in our series (you can click on the button to see all the posts in the category). If you’re wondering what’s up, you can read the introduction to 31 Days of Thrift Store Transformations here.

I believe a cottage can be anywhere or anything (condo, ranch, farmhouse) as long as you have a "cottage mentality" which puts people above things, celebrates imperfections, embraces simplicity, and finds joy in everyday life. Thanks for joining me!

Looks great! I’ve been seeing this more frequently and I love it. I dont think it would work in any of my bathrooms though :\
Gorgeous!!! Fabulous idea!
