Hey all! Way back in 2009 (seems like the dark ages in blog-years, huh?) I wrote about how I wrap our family’s Christmas gifts. Well, since I LOVE this gift wrapping system and how much time it saves me each year, I’ve updated it with better photos and clearer directions with the hope that it might save you time, too.
Not only does this super easy system save time wrapping, it also:
- Saves money. As in LOTS of money over the years because I don’t need to purchase paper, bags, bows, or even tags.
- Keeps wrapping items out of the landfill. Which is good, of course – but also saves money on your trash bill.
- Saves time shopping. After I accumulated the boxes and paper to reuse each year, I haven’t needed to buy the amount of stuff I used to buy each year. Now I only need a roll of paper for stockings or extended family gifts that I pick up during the after Christmas sales – and it usually lasts more than a year.
Are you sensing a theme here? Time, money, more time, and more money – all saved if you adopt this system. Oh, and I haven’t even mentioned that the gifts are beautifully wrapped and look great each year. Bonus!

Do you have any easy holiday wrapping tips you use?

I believe a cottage can be anywhere or anything (condo, ranch, farmhouse) as long as you have a "cottage mentality" which puts people above things, celebrates imperfections, embraces simplicity, and finds joy in everyday life. Thanks for joining me!
